Review:
The Smart Parts Freak barrel system has a lot of talk
that it is the best barrel you can buy and use. I personally was not to
amused be the performance of this product being that when I picked it up
it did not feel like the 180 or so that one spends on this item was well
spent. The barrel is nicely made and has a good design. I shot paintballs
through it and It was accurate but not quite as accurate as some barrels
I have shot that are well under the amount of money that some think you
have to spend to get optimal performance out of your gun. I broke one paintball
and even after putting a squeegee through it I still had paintballs cork
screwing down the field and for some reason the balls almost only curved
to the right at some points. Some barrels that I know that are in equal
or better in performance are the Dye boomstick, J and J barrels, Custom
products barrels, Dye stainless barrel and the System X barrel. These are
some that I personally have owned and used. I loved the many nice bore sizes
but you probably wont ever use them all because if you think about it most
players will find a type of paint that works well and then stick with it
so unless you play at different places and get all types of paint them you
have no real need for the system rather than to say that you have one.
