Info:
Inside of a stock 3 way is
pretty rough coming back from the due to the machining process but with
a little elbow grease and a power tool you can make the inside look smoother
that glass. What this job does is micro-hone and polish the inside of
the body of the 3 way this removes a little of brass each time you do
this so you don't want to do this too much because you may remove to much
material and destroy the 3 way.
Materials:
Variable drill
Polishing compound
Heat Source
Q-Tips
Gun Oil
Needle Nose Pliers
Directions:
1. First you must take the air nipples off of the main body and remove the shaft.
2. Using a heat source ( torch, match, or lighter) liqify a little of the polishing compound and stick a Q-Tip inside of the liquid and coat the cotton part.
3. Take the Q-Tip and stick it into the chamber while its still liquid twisting to ensure and good fit. I should feel tight going in. That little circle of excess compound can be broken off and re melted.
4. Connect the other end to your varible speed drill and slowy polish the inside moving the 3 way evenly over the polishing q-tip to get a perfect surface. evenly and slow is the most effeicient way to do this take. If you do not have a drill then you can use elbow grease and just use the same motion as you would a file inside of the 3 way.
5. Once you have a nice lusteruss shine and smooth look to the inside you must thoughy clean all of the polishing compound from the 3 way using clean Q-tips and soap and water.
6. Now that your 3way is nice and clean you must put the air nipples back on to the 3 way and the shaft back inside of the main body.
7. Enjoy a new feel to you 3way. With this mod you can now put a lighter trigger return spring onto your gun and lower the cocking pressure.
